Who we are

Kitovate ("Kitovate", "we", "us") is an online marketplace for ready-to-use digital kits: templates, guides, planners and bundles that you download instantly after purchase. Kitovate and the website kitovate.com are owned and operated by Dicrella LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use kitovate.com, buy a kit, or create an account, and how we handle it. If you have a question about anything here, email support@kitovate.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Checkout details: your name and email address, so we can create your order and send your receipt and download links.
  • Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash) if you create an account.
  • Bookmarks: the kits and tools you save with the bookmark button, so you can find them again from any device.
  • Newsletter signup: your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
  • Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email, such as your name, email, order number and the content of your message.

Information created when you use Kitovate

  • Order history: the kits you bought, prices paid, order dates and download records.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type and device information, which our servers log automatically for security, fraud prevention and to keep the site working.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive information such as health data or government ID numbers.

How we use it

  • To process your order, take payment and deliver your digital kits.
  • To run your account, including your downloads library, order history and bookmarks.
  • To answer your questions and handle support or refund requests.
  • To send transactional emails such as receipts, download links and password resets.
  • To send our newsletter, only if you have subscribed.
  • To protect Kitovate and our customers from fraud, abuse and unauthorized access.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve our kits and the shopping experience.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you (orders and accounts), our legitimate interests (security, improving the service), your consent (newsletter) and our legal obligations (tax records).

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment and limited details, such as the card brand and last four digits, to identify the transaction. Stripe's handling of your information is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Kitovate, and only as much as they need:

  • Stripe, for payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Our hosting and website providers, which store our website, store database and files.
  • Email providers, which deliver our transactional emails and newsletter.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

Cookies and local storage

Kitovate keeps a few small pieces of information in your browser so the site works as you expect:

  • Your sign-in session, so you stay signed in to your account.
  • Your cart, so the kits you add are still there when you come back.
  • Your bookmarks, so the bookmark count shows correctly, including before you sign in.
  • Small display preferences, such as whether you collapsed the purchase bar on a product page.

These are essential to the site and are not used for advertising. Stripe may set its own cookies during checkout to prevent fraud. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

You can clear this information at any time through your browser settings. If you do, you will be signed out and your cart will be emptied.

Emails and newsletter

We send transactional emails (receipts, download links, password resets) because they are part of your purchase or account. Our newsletter, with new kits, tips and offers, is sent only if you subscribe. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you by email.

How long we keep it

  • Account information is kept while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove it within 30 days.
  • Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually several years, even if you delete your account.
  • Support messages are kept for up to 2 years so we can follow up on earlier requests.
  • Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as secure hashes, sign-in sessions use random tokens, and card data is handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and let us know straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date. You can update your name yourself in My account.
  • Delete your account and personal information, subject to the records we must keep by law.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent, such as unsubscribing from the newsletter.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email support@kitovate.com from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.

Children

Kitovate is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Kitovate is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let account holders know by email.
